How To Permanently Delete Messages On Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the leading left edge and also appears like two tiny overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the conversation containing the message or messages you intend to remove. If it is not noted on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to check out every one of your personal messages. Click the conversation on that particular list containing the message you want to delete.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and afterwards click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes situated alongside the messages you wish to remove.
Click "Delete" and then click "Delete Messages" to verify that you want to erase the chosen messages.
Pointer
To delete a whole discussion instead of individual messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions menu in the 3rd step.
Warning
Erasing a private message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your discussion partner.
